The spa/wellness industry is the love of my life. I began modeling at the age of 15 in Pittsburgh. Friend and mentor Marlene Bridge (National Cosmetology Association Educator and proprietor Elegant Nail Distributing, PA) encouraged me to enter the 'Educator Program' for the National Cosmetology Association in 1992. It was amazing opportunity being that I would be the only female African-American NCA Educator in Pennsylvania at that time. This honor gave me the credentials to write for numerous magazines, newspapers, guest on television and radio shows, speak at various media events and promote diversity growth in the community, all of which I continue to do. I encourage other business and salon owners to take the step and not put a ceiling on their spa dreams, earning or service potential.
Talented individuals who believed in my dream almost as much as I did. LéVonne de Spa has been featured on multiple televisions programs, web sites and magazines one of which named us a 'Quintessential Retreat'. I composed and directed the visual arts in the spa's first commercial showcasing. We used a well known model for the body shots and real smoke to over the mud covered nude body.
LéVonne de Spa offers exquisite services that go a step beyond what the average spa goer expects. We allow clients to nourish their inner flame in an environment of peace...there is no rushed service in our establishment. Visitors enjoy unrivaled nail services, pedicures, waxing, European facials, and lulling signature spa body treatments to all who desire more from the spa experience.

When not in the spa I travel to other destinations, sometimes out of
state at the request of clients who require her personalized services
for an extended period of time. The services include spa meal
preparation so they can indulge their taste buds as well and well as
their bodies. During our journey of 15 years the spa has moved and been
renovated multiple times to accommodate an expanding menu of services
and deliver a more tranquil ambiance or precious customers.
Continuing education plays a vital role in my continued growth. "When
you stop learning, your career is over". Over the years, I have
mentored various salon professionals, aiding them in expanding their
own businesses, and even funded cosmetology school for a few. In 1996,
I launched Spa Literary Works (www.levonnespa.biz) supplying the Spa
industry with educational consumer articles for the wellness and beauty
industry. Salon and spa owners face the universal challenge of
attracting consumer attention and setting themselves apart from
everyone else, I make this task easier for them through an ever flowing
waterfall of creative words descriptions. Quite frankly I drop a
prospective client's mind into whatever beauty scenario the business
wishes to portray. I pour my soul into every written word . So very
little was available on the spa market that filled the industry needs
when I began. It gave me a venue to explore artistic avenues that
assisted my fellow colleagues as it helped my business. It has been a
wonderful privilege to serve my industry in this capacity.
I invite novice and avid spa-goers alike, models, celebrities or the
person around the corner to experience the exquisite services rendered
at the LéVonne de Spa. Admirers say it's the 'I could stay here all
day' feeling that ensure their return. Mentioned almost as often is the
ease of spirit imparted to those who partake of the spa staff's various
talents which are so skillfully rendered. Our sincere care is what
makes us unique. The newest location to opened February 2008. Located
in Waterford, it is very close to the Oakland International Airport.
Perfect for traveling executives, celebrities and frequent air
travelers.
Traveling throughout the United States, West Indies, Caribbean and the
Netherlands is what affords me the experience of conceptualization,
innovation, and troubleshooting in the salon/spa industry world.
Currently working on spa table guidebook, I would love to host a
television or radio spa show. One thing is for certain, nothing is
impossible when it comes to my dreams. I invite you to be a part of it.
